What the $2,450 buys

Up to 10 pages, live in two weeks. Custom design, not a template. Written by someone who knows what an MC number is, what a CSA score does to your insurance, and why a shipper checks your authority before they call you.

  1. Up to 10 pages, custom designed
  2. Copy written by us from one 30-minute interview
  3. Authority and insurance display, pulled from the federal register
  4. Quote form routed to your phone and your inbox
  5. Business email, DNS, SSL and deliverability configured
  6. Google Business Profile claimed and filled where it earns its keep
  7. Schema, sitemap and the technical SEO foundation
  8. You own the site and the code, on day one

Every logistics company we work with, from owner-operators to 3PLs.

$395 per month · optional

Care

Maintenance, and we will not pretend otherwise. It keeps the site fast, patched and online. It does not generate leads, and anyone telling you a $395 retainer does is selling you something.

  • Hosting, SSL and uptime monitoring
  • Security patching and dependency updates
  • Two change requests a month
  • Quarterly performance check

You want the site looked after, not marketed.

$995 per month · optional

Growth

Acquisition work with a scope you can audit. Every item below is countable, so at the end of any month you can check whether you got it.

  • Everything in Care
  • Two new pages every month, targeted at real search demand
  • One content piece a month, researched and written by us
  • Call tracking and form attribution on every lead
  • A monthly report that counts quote requests, not rankings
  • Four change requests a month, turned around on one batch day a week

You want the site to keep producing quote requests.

No mandatory retainer. Most clients take the build and nothing else, and that is a perfectly good outcome — nobody will chase you.

Need something that isn't on this page?

More than 10 pages, a migration off an existing site, a multi-branch structure, or something we have not thought of — that is what a custom quote is for. Everything standard is priced above; you do not need to ask us what it costs.

The short answer

How much does a logistics website cost?

A logistics website costs $2,450 at S4L.IO. Not "from" $2,450, not a range, not a starting point — that is the price. It covers a custom-designed, mobile-first site of up to 10 pages, live in two weeks, with real service pages, your operating credentials in view and a working quote path. Not a template with your logo dropped into it. You own the site and the code the day it launches.

Most agencies will not publish a number because the number is the negotiation. We publish ours so you can decide in ten seconds whether to keep reading, and so you never sit through a discovery call whose real purpose is working out what you will tolerate paying.

If your operation genuinely needs more than 10 pages — a migration off a large existing site, a multi-branch structure, a network of lane or terminal pages — that is quoted separately against a written scope, and we will tell you before you commit. And if the site has to do operational work rather than describe it, that is a platform, priced on its own page. Everything standard is the number above. See what a logistics web design build includes for the detail behind each line.

Not a website

If you need the site to do operational work

Carrier onboarding with document collection, shipper tracking, quote engines, driver recruiting funnels, TMS and WMS integration. That is a platform, not a website, and it is priced differently.

Platforms start at $9,500 and are scoped in a paid two-week discovery rather than quoted off a price list. We work that way because the timeline depends on your TMS or WMS vendor releasing API access — something we do not control and will not fix-bid against.

Variables

What moves the price of a freight website

Six things change a quote. None of them is how big your company is — we quote the work, not your revenue.

What you actually do

A trucking company, a freight broker, a licensed customs brokerage, and a fulfillment center need four different sites. The broker needs carrier vetting and bond status in view. The customs broker needs HTS classification and ACE filing capability made legible to an importer. The trucking company needs DOT authority, CSA scores, and equipment. The work is not interchangeable and the quote reflects that.

How many pages carry intent

Price tracks the number of pages that have to be written well, not the number of pages in a sitemap. Ten service pages, each written for a real query with its own quote path, cost more than a forty-page site of boilerplate — and they are the reason the site earns anything back.

Custom features

Rate calculators, transit-time estimators, carrier onboarding flows, driver application forms, and shipper portals are software, not pages. Each one adds design, build, and testing time. We build them where they change a buying decision and talk you out of them where they would just move on the screen.

Integrations

Connecting to a TMS, a WMS, a load board, a mapping API, or a payment processor is where scope grows fastest, because the cost sits in the other system's documentation rather than in ours. We scope integrations separately and tell you before you commit whether the API on the other end is going to fight us.

Content

Some operators hand over accurate service descriptions, real photography of their own equipment, and a list of lanes. Others have three paragraphs written in 2016. Writing the copy, art-directing the photography, and building the graphics stock libraries do not carry — lane maps, equipment specs, service diagrams — is real work and is priced as such.

Timeline

A standard build runs on a normal schedule and a normal price. Compressing it around a rebrand, a trade show, or a new authority going live means reordering other work, and that carries a premium. Tell us the date early and it usually costs nothing.

Every build

What is in the price at every scope

These are not upsells. They ship with the smallest project we take on.

Discovery and scoping

A working session about your lanes, equipment, services, and who you are trying to win, followed by a written scope you approve before anything is designed.

Custom design

Designed for your operation, not adapted from a template. You see the design and sign off before it is built.

Responsive build

Engineered mobile-first, because dispatchers vet carriers from a phone in a yard, and tested on real devices rather than in a browser preview.

SEO foundation

Clean page structure, one intent per URL, unique titles and descriptions, and valid structured data — the groundwork that logistics SEO builds on later.

Quote capture

A quote request path reachable from every page, wired to wherever your sales team already works.

Analytics and handover

Analytics configured against the events that matter, plus training so your team can update the site without a support ticket.

How it runs

From first email to launch

Send the brief

Tell us what you move and what the site has to do. No forms in triplicate — a paragraph is enough to start.

Get a scoped quote

A written scope and a fixed quote inside one business day, itemised so you can see what each line buys and cut anything you do not want.

Approve and build

Design first, sign-off, then build. Milestone reviews so nothing arrives as a surprise at launch.

Launch and hand over

We ship it, migrate the DNS, verify search coverage, and train your team. Ongoing support is optional and quoted separately.

Straight answer

When we are the wrong call

If you need a one-page site up by Friday and nothing more, our floor is more than that job is worth and a builder template will serve you better. If you want a website that guarantees a specific number of loads, no agency can honestly sell you that, and any that offers to is selling you a claim rather than a site. And if you are shopping purely on price, there is always someone cheaper — usually because they have never seen a bill of lading and will learn your business on your budget.

What we are good at is the narrow thing: websites for companies that move freight, built by people who know what a CSA score is, why a chassis pool matters, what an NVOCC actually sells, and how a shipper decides who to call. If that is the job, the price is the least interesting part of the conversation. Read how we came out of logistics if you want to know who you would be working with.

Questions we get

Logistics website pricing FAQs

Costs, payment terms, timelines, and what happens after launch.

How much is a logistics website design quote?

A logistics website design quote from S4L.IO is $2,450 flat — up to 10 pages, live in two weeks. That is the number we send, not a starting point. Care is $395 a month if you want hosting and patching; Growth is $995 a month if you want new pages and content after launch. Neither is required. A carrier portal, quote engine or TMS integration is a platform and is priced separately.

How much does a logistics website cost?

A logistics website from S4L.IO is $2,450 — a flat price, not a starting point. That covers up to 10 custom-designed pages, live in two weeks, and you own the site and the code outright. Afterwards you can add $395 a month for maintenance or $995 a month for ongoing content and SEO, both optional and month to month. If your site needs to do operational work — carrier onboarding, tracking, a quote engine — that is a platform and is priced separately.

What does a custom freight broker website cost?

The same $2,450 as every other build. Broker sites carry more trust architecture than a carrier site — carrier vetting criteria, surety bond status, MC authority, insurance requirements, and separate conversion paths for shippers and for carriers — but that is design work, not extra cost, and it fits inside 10 pages comfortably. If you also want carrier onboarding with document upload, that is a platform and is scoped separately. See freight broker website design for what is in a typical broker build.

Why do you publish one price instead of packages?

We do, and there is exactly one: $2,450 for the website. We stopped at one because every extra tier we sketched could only be told apart by page count, and page count is the wrong thing to buy on — it invites you to talk yourself into the smaller option and feel unsure about it. What genuinely changes the value is whether anyone keeps working on the site after launch, so that is the choice we ask you to make, and it is $395 or $995 a month.

What is included in the quote?

Every quote includes discovery and scoping, custom design, responsive development, SEO foundation and structured data, quote capture wired to your sales process, analytics configuration, and training on how to update the site. Optional items — portals, integrations, photography, ongoing SEO — are listed separately with their own prices so you can cut any of them without renegotiating the whole project.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. The standard arrangement is 50% to start and 50% at launch. On larger builds we split the balance across monthly payments tied to milestones, and for ongoing work we run a monthly retainer covering hosting, maintenance, and continuous improvement. Payment terms are agreed in writing with the scope, before the project starts.

Is there a mandatory monthly retainer?

No. You can pay for the build, take the site, and never hear from us again — you own the site and the code. A retainer only makes sense if you want ongoing SEO, content, or feature work, and it is quoted separately from the build so the two never get bundled into a number you cannot unpick.

How long does it take to build a trucking company website?

Two weeks, and the clock starts when we have your materials — logo, insurance certificate, DNS access and the 30-minute interview — not when you pay. We are explicit about that because the single most common cause of a late launch is waiting on the client, and we would rather set the expectation than miss a date we advertised. Everything on our side fits inside two weeks; if your certificate takes a fortnight to arrive, the launch moves with it. A platform with portals or TMS integration runs longer and is scoped in discovery.

Do you charge for the quote?

No. Scoping and quoting are free and there is no obligation attached to either. We would rather tell you honestly that your budget does not match the work than take a deposit for a project that was never going to succeed.
